Sapphires are mined in locations around the globe but are mainly sourced from Cambodia, Colombia, India, and Kenya. Other areas include Afghanistan, Australia, Nepal, the United States, and Vietnam.


Blue Opal
The blue opal gemstone has a variety of opal that comes in shades. In some cases, this term is used to describe a mostly opaque, teal-colored variety of common opal
Lapis Lazuli
This gem has several minerals, it can be ancient contains three minerals in varying amounts: lazurite, calcite, and pyrite. Sometimes, it also contains one or more of the following: diopside, amphibole, feldspar, and mica.





Gems… reminds me of the Crystal Gems
If you’re like me you, when you hear the crystal gems you think of the show Steven Universe! There is a group of rebels called the Crystal Gems and was the reason why I know so many gems. If you don’t know the characters are named and based of different gems.

Gems and rocks are made up of minerals, which bond together to form crystalline structures. But, depending on the conditions present, different types of gems can form in different environments. And, when it comes to gem creation, it all happens below your feet.
Just as colours vary from gemstone to gemstone, so too do gemstones of the same type. Some, including Topaz and Spinel, come in a variety of colours, depending on the impurities present.
